Remitly Cares Scholarship program is now open to apply for all college students in the Philippines. All eligible and interested college students can apply for the Remitly Cares Scholarship program for the school year 2024-2025.

Remitly Cares Scholarship 2024

The Remitly is an online money transfer service company which enables thousands of people to conveniently send money from the United States to the Philippines every month through its website.

Since educational support is among one of the most important reasons for the people to transfer money, the company has initiated the Remitly Cares Scholarship 2024 program to serve the Filipino community.

Scholarship Benefits

Qualified scholars will receive a total of USD$400 ( ₱22,800.00*) as benefits under the Remitly Cares scholarship program.

This scholarship payment will be paid directly to the scholars in the form of a direct monthly financial assistance of USD$100 ( ₱5700*) per month over the course of 4 months.

Who can apply for scholarship

This scholarships program is open to First-Time Remitly Cares Scholars only. Current scholars of this program will receive a separate application form via e-mail.

Eligibility for Scholarship

To be eligible to apply for Remitly Cares Scholarship, a candidate must fulfil the following qualifications:

• The applicant must be a resident of Philippines
• He or She must be a Full-time student enrolled at a participating institution.
• Must be enrolled in any of the following participating institutions:
  • Mapua Institute of Technology and
  • University of the Philippines (College of Education College of Engineering, and College of Arts and Letters)
• Must have a General Weighted Average (GPA) of at least “B” (or equivalent) in the previous school year
• No individual grades below “C+” (or equivalent)
• Submission of completed scholarship application
• Agreement to the scholarship Terms and Conditions
• Agreement to receive scholarship payment directly
• The student must intent to complete higher education program on time.

Requirements for Scholarship

Following is the list of information required to apply for the Scholarship:

• Primary Information
  • Name of the applicant
  • Address with Postal code
  • A valid email address
  • Mobile Phone Number
• Academic Requirements
  • Name of the Educational Institution
  • Current Enrollment year
  • Current Enrollment Status
• Documentary Requirements
  • An official Grade Report from the previous semester
  • Proof of units enrolled for the current semester

Scholars selection and Guidelines
