Types of OWWA Scholarships 2022
The three main scholarships offered by OWWA are
- Education for Development Scholarship Program (EDSP)
- OFW Dependent Scholarship Program (ODSP)
- Education and Livelihood Assistance Program for the Dependents of Deceased OFW Members (ELAP)

Education for Development Scholarship Program (EDSP)
- Education for Development Scholarship Program (EDSP) is a scholarship grant for qualifying dependents of OFWs till completion of bachelor course (4-5 years).
- Education for Development Scholarship Program (EDSP) provides a scholarship grant of Php 60,000.00 per school year
- The DOST national examinations decides the selection of scholars for incoming freshmen.
- 600 spots are reserved for students who are currently enrolled in college and only the top 400 students who pass the test will be given consideration for admission as freshmen.

OFW Dependent Scholarship Program (ODSP)
- OFW Dependent Scholarship Program (ODSP) is a scholarship program that provides Scholarships for the qualified dependents of OFWs whose salary is less than US $600.00 per month.
- OFW Dependent Scholarship Program (ODSP) provides a financial aid of Php 20,000.00 per academic year.
- OFW Dependent Scholarship Program (ODSP) is open to all eligible Filipinos who shall enroll, are currently enrolled or have been previously enrolled in any four-year or five-year baccalaureate course or associate course in any college or university.

Education and Livelihood Assistance Program for the Dependents of Deceased OFW Members (ELAP)
- Education and Livelihood Assistance Program for the Dependents of Deceased OFW Members (ELAP) is a scholarship program created for the families of OFWs who are imprisoned, found guilty, and given the death penalty abroad as well as survivors of deceased OFWs who were active OWWA members at the time of their deaths.
- Along with financial support for an eligible dependent’s continued education, it aims to give surviving family members a source of income to supplement the family’s income.
Financial Assistance of ELAP OWWA Scholarships
Education and Livelihood Assistance Program for the Dependents of Deceased OFW Members (ELAP) provides a Livelihood Assistance of Php 15,000.00
Educational Assistance of ELAP OWWA Scholarships
Educational Assistance for the dependent children of deceased OFWs with who are eligible for school. The first or eldest child born must be eligible to be a dependent; if the first born is eligible, then the following kid born is chosen as a dependent. The aid includes :
- Elementary (kindergarten) education help of PHP 5,000.00
- Secondary education assistance of PHP 8,000.00, and
- Higher education assistance of PHP 10,000.00.
