CHED Scholarship 2025 to 2026 Online Application is open to Apply for all college students in the Philippines. The Commission on Higher Education – CHED has announced the launch of its CHED Merit Scholarship program (CMSP) for the school year 2025-2026.

The CHED Merit Scholarship Program is open for all incoming first-year college students who want to pursue their undergraduate studies in any CHED recognized priority programs in private higher education institutions (HEIs) or State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) and Local Universities and Colleges (LUCs).

What is CHED Scholarship
The CHED Merit Scholarship program (CMSP) is a government-funded scholarship program. The aim of CHED Scholarship is to support academically talented students, especially those students, who belong to the following special groups:
- Underprivileged and homeless citizens (RA 7279);
- Persons with Disability (RA 7277); and
- Solo parents and/or their dependents (RA 8371).
All incoming eligible freshman can apply for the CHED Merit Scholarship. CHED Scholars will receive a full or partial scholarship under the State Scholarship and Private Education Student Financial Assistance (PESFA). The financial assistance may cover tuition and other fees, as well as a monthly stipend for living expenses.

Benefits of CHED Scholarship
Following are the list of benefits, a CHED Scholar will receive:
- Tuition and other school fees (TOSF),
- Stipend per semester
- Book/Connectivity allowance
The stipend will be released directly to the scholars or through HEIs. The book/ connectivity allowance per semester of a given academic year until the completion of the degree program.
Financial Assistance – Private HEIs
Following are the financial assistance benefits for students studying in Private HEIs:
Full Merit Scholarship
- ₱40,000 per semester
- ₱80,000 per school year
Half Merit Scholarship
- ₱20,000 per semester
- ₱40,000 per school year
Financial Assistance – SUCs / LUCs
Following are the financial assistance benefits for students studying in SUCs / LUCs:
Full Merit Scholarship
- ₱60,000 per semester
- ₱120,000 per school year
Half Merit Scholarship
- ₱30,000 per semester
- ₱60,000 per school year

Eligibility for CHED Scholarship
Following are the qualifications and eligibility criteria required to apply for CHED Scholarship:
- The candidate must be a Filipino Citizen
- He / She must be a First year college student – a senior high school graduate
- Must have a General Weighted Average (GWA) of at least 93% or above.
- Shall be enrolled in a Senior High School located in Region 1
- Combined annual gross income of parent/s or legal guardian which does not exceed Five Hundred Thousand Pesos (₱500,000.00)
- Must enroll in a recognized priority program in a Private Higher Education Institution or a State University / College with Certificates of Program Compliance, or a recognized Local University / College
Documentary Requirements for CHED Scholarship
Following are the list of documents required to apply for CHED Merit Scholarship:
- Proof of Citizenship:
- Certified true copy of Birth Certificate
- Academic Requirements:
- Certified true copy of High School Report Card (Form 138) for incoming first students eligible for college
- Income Requirements (whichever is applicable)
- Latest Income Tax Return (ITR) of parents or guardian;
- Certificate of Tax Exemption from the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR);
- Certificate of Indigence either from their Barangay or Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD);
- Case Study report from DSWD; and
- Latest copy of contract or proof of income, for the children of Overseas Filipino Workers and seafarers
- Other Requirement
- Identification Card (ID) – Special Group (Underprivileged or Homeless, PWD, Solo Parent, Senior Citizen, Indigenous People)
