Chulabhorn Graduate Institute Scholarship

Commission On Higher Education – CHED, has announced the call for applications to The Chulabhorn Graduate Institute Post-graduate Scholarship Program of the Chulabhorn Royal Academy via a memorandum on 15.05.2023.

This scholarship program is open to all international students who wish to pursue their Master’s degree in the various fields of Science and Technology in Thailand.

The Chulabhorn Graduate Institute (CGI) is a multidisciplinary postgraduate academic institute founded in 2005 by Professor Dr. Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Krom Phra Srisavangavadhana.

The goal of CGI Scholarship is to apply the most modern interactive teaching methodologies employed in leading educational and research institutions to produce competent thinkers and leaders who can better serve their countries’ requirements for long-term development.

CGI Scholarship Benefits

The CGI Scholars will receive various scholarship benefits which are as follows:

• Tuition and other academic fees
  • credit fee
  • laboratory expenses,
  • refresher course,
  • enrollment fee,
  • thesis fee,
  • production of thesis documents),
• Monthly stipend,
• Book allowance,
• Accommodation,
• Health insurance,
• First settlement allowance,
• Relocation allowance,
• visa fee,
• Round trip airfare and others.

Who can apply for CGI Scholarship

Following is the eligibility criteria a candidate must meet to apply for the Scholarship:

• The candidate must be under 30 years of age.
• Must hold a a Bachelor Degree with a cumulative GPA of at least 2.75 in one of the following fields:
  • Sciences: Chemistry, Biology, Biological Sciences, Molecular Biology, Environmental Sciences
  • Medical Sciences: Medicine, Medical Technology
  • Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Sciences

Applicants from other related fields are also welcome to apply.

1. Have experience in scientific laboratory research
2. Must have demonstrated English proficiency, preferably on one of two recognized tests of language proficiency (TOEFL, IELTS)
3. Must provide a statement of purpose explaining their interests in the study

Field of Study

Following are the fields of study available for the scholarship holders:

• Applied Biological Sciences: Environmental Health
• Environmental Toxicology
• Chemical Sciences

Number of Slots available

This year, 15 (fifteen) scholarships are available for international applicants (except Thai citizen) to pursue a Master’s Degree study at the CGI. Selection of applicants will be based on merit.

Scholarship Award Period

The scholarship award will cover 6 weeks refresher courses and follow by a period of 2 years Master’s Degree study, subject to an annual review of the scholar’s satisfactory progress.

Documentary Requirements

Following is the list of documents required to apply for Scholarship:

1. Full Academic Transcript
2. Three Recommendation Letters
3. Statement of Purpose explaining interest of study
4. Medical History Report
5. Other supporting documents to facilitate application screening
