DSWD is one of the Philippine government agencies entrusted with ensuring Filipinos’ well-being. In addition, they offer a variety of options, including job and scholarship opportunities, to people who want to work with them.

What is DSWD Educational Assistance 2022

• DSWD Educational Assistance Program 2022 provides financial aid to eligible Filipinos in the field of Education
• This DSWD program is an Education Assistance and not a scholarship or loan.
• In March 2018, the board clarified that that they are not offering a scholarship, but rather educational assistance to indigent students and other qualified students.

Who can Apply for DSWD Educational Assistance

According to the announcement by DSWD, following students are are eligible to apply for the Cash assistance program

• Elementary or grade school students
• High school students, and
• Vocational/college level students

In an announcement on Facebook, Erwin Tulfo, Secretary of Social Welfare and Development of Philippines said “Magsisimula ang Educational Assistance payout sa ika-20 ng Agosto 2022 at sa mga susunod na Sabado – Agosto 27, Setyembre 3, 10, 17 at 24,”

Requirements to Apply for DSWD Aid

According to the Secretary of DSWD, Erwin Tulfo, following individuals are eligible to use the DSWD Cash Assistance program:

• Breadwinner
• Working student
• Has no family/Living with relative
• Child of a single parent
• Has parents with no source of living
• Child of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs)
• Child of Persons With Disabilities (PWDs)
• Child of HIV victims
• Victim of Domestic Abuse
• Victim of natural disasters

If a family has three or more children, they are eligible to apply and register for the DSWD educational aid program along with required documents in order for the department to approve and validate their application.

Necessary Documents Required

Following documents are required to Apply for DSWD Cash Assistance:

1. Proof of Enrollment
2. Authorization letter (if the applicant is not available)
3. Valid ID of parent/guardian as well as students who are in college or taking vocational courses

How much is DSWD Educational Assistance Aid

Eligible Students will receive following amount as payout from DSWD Cash Assistance

• PhP 1,000 for Elementary Students
• PhP 2,000 for High School Students
• PhP 3,000 for Senior High School Students
• PhP 4,000 for Vocational or College Students

How to Apply for DSWD Educational Assistance 2022

Eligible Filipinos can apply for DSWD Cash Assistance online or offline as explained below

• Online: Send an email request to [email protected]
• Offline: Visit the DSWD Central Office or Field Offices.

You have to wait for email confirmation from the DSWD, the confirmation email will contain

• Details regarding where you will have to submit required documents and
• Details of the date and place where you will get the Educational Assistance
